Robin Werner, MS, RD CDN received her undergraduate degree from The State University of New York at Oswego where she graduated with a BA in Communications. After working at major corporations like NBC and Simon & Schuster, as well as at boutique public relations firm, Josell Communications, she decided she wanted to redirect her career by combining the skills she loved to use professionally – writing, speaking, and working with people – with a subject about which she’d always been passionate: health and wellness. Robin never looked back. She completed a Masters degree in Nutrition at Lehman College, where she subsequently taught the undergraduate Introduction to Nutrition course. Prior to starting Robin Werner Nutrition, she received her clinical training at Jacobi Medical Center, where she had the opportunity to provide counseling to a wide variety of patients requiring medical nutrition therapy. She has also spent time working with the W.I.C. (Women, Infants, and Children) and Head Start programs, educating parents and giving them the confidence to provide the healthiest and most beneficial foods for their children while simultaneously improving their family’s overall eating habits.

Robin is a credentialed Registered Dietitian and is a licensed Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist. She is an active member of The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Through The Academy she has obtained Certificates in Training in both Adult Weight Management and in Childhood and Adolescent Weight Management. Robin also belongs to their Dietary Practice Groups: Women’s Health, Pediatric Nutrition, and Nutrition Entrepreneurs. She is affiliated with the New York State Dietetic Association and the Westchester/Rockland Dietetic Association. Robin has been quoted in various articles for one of the leading websites on health, EverydayHealth.com and has written articles for NYMetro Parents, as well as been featured in a podcast for Peace, Love & Snacks.

Robin has always enjoyed a variety of physical activities. She maintains an active lifestyle today – having hiked the Inca Trail, become a certified scuba diver, and is a big fan of pilates reformer classes. Robin lives in Westchester with her husband Greg, and their three children, Chloe, Eden, Holden, and their dog, Tassie – all of whom make it virtually impossible for her to be sedentary….ever.
